SPRUE SAFETY PRODUCTS SCOOPS TOP ACCOLADE

Sprue Safety Products, the leading manufacturer of smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms, has won the Gas Safety Initiative of the Year Award at this year’s Association of Gas Safety Managers (AGSM) Awards ceremony in Leicestershire.
After facing stiff competition from eight other entrants, Sprue Safety Products took home the coveted accolade thanks to its national campaign Project SHOUT, which is raising awareness of the life threatening dangers of CO poisoning and how the simple solution of installing a CO alarm can help save lives.
The campaign was launched in September 2015, to raise awareness of the dangers of CO. Using a combination of TV advertising, social media and partnerships with other stakeholders, this awareness campaign is helping to spread the word about CO, its dangers and deadly consequences.
Sales representatives from the SONA trade division of Sprue received the award.
Robert Lyon, Head of UK Marketing at Sprue Safety Products and founder of the campaign, said: “We are very proud to have won this prestigious award and it’s a great testament to all the hard work and effort put in by everyone at Sprue Safety Products.
“In the UK, approximately one person dies from carbon monoxide poisoning every week. With more than 16 million households without a CO alarm installed, the need for increased awareness is absolutely imperative.”
